Questions from Comprehensive Examination (CE) in Veterinary Medicine

Hello Guys!..

Comprehensive Examination just around the conner..
Some students called as Crazy Examination (CE)..

Yup, this Comprehensive examination is the toughest examination ever for the medical student, and for our scope was in Veterinary Medicine.

Veterinary Medicine is the study of diagnosis, examination, treatment and prevention of the animals from any infectious agents.  The moment you are stand in this field, you can feel and realize that your responsibility in taking care of the animals around you.

For the Veterinary students, the moment they are very close to the Comprehensive Examination, you will realize that so many subject and knowledge that you need to cover and remember.  Trust me, you wouldn't remember everything because the knowledge are very wide.  So wide and huge which the Professor sometimes can't remember the facts or the theories.

So, you have to prepare on how to handle the question. That's it.  When you know how to handle the question, you are not in trouble. So, the technique on how to handle the question is very important.

What I mean on handling the question?

Okay, first you have to make sure that you are understand the question very much.  This is very crucial to know & really understand the question.

Second, make sure you have the some ideas in your brain on what the question looking for.  The question sometime was very tricky and able to make us inquiry about the question.  You need to relax when understand the question.

Third, you have to make sure which subject related with the species that they will ask you. I mean the subject maybe on parasitology in ruminant/ virology in avian/ bacteriology in small animals/ genetic in equine and ETC.

If you can understand the question well, lets say the question was asking about the virus in avian, so that you can list out the possible diseases which highly related with the avian. These are we call as DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS..  If you can list the differential diagnosis, you're in the right track. But you cannot be so happy because sometime the Differential diagnosis that you listed out are not correct, hurmmmm..

Well, start to refresh back the terms, the simple process in the PHYSIOLOGY subject in the first year, and slowly you can know on how to relate with the diseases and pathology subject.
